"Sad and Very Angry"

Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast.

It looked like New Orleans was spared.

It wasn't.

My Darlin' Cyn is devastated.

I'm heart broken.

I've never been to The Crecent City, but it is a very special place.

And now it's gone.

The poor folks that couldn't get out... Yes, couldn't get out (despite what that asshole Rush Limbaugh and his ilk say) have been left behind by our government.

The idiots in office can't figure out what to do. They keep reassuring us... reasuring them that help is on the way.

When, Goddamnit? When?

The freedom-swallowing government agencies assured us that they were doing what they were doing to protect us from the evil terrorists. They said that they could handle simultaneous attacks. They have spent billions of our tax money on it.

On what?

Another big fat lie.

They can't even help one city.

A few shots were fired and they backed out.

What?! And what's happening in Iraq? They aren't throwing roses at our troops.

Backed out of New Orleans.

"It's too dangerous."

Yeah, and letting those people suffer and die is what?

Tell me, damn it! Tell me!

I'm weeping as the images flash across the screen.

A superpower can't even help its own people.

This can't be real. This can't be happening.

Sad.
